As part of Road Safety Month, the Government of Andhra Pradesh, in coordination with the Visakhapatnam City Security Council (VCSC), Road Transport Department, and Gajuwaka Traffic Police, successfully conducted the Road Safety Walkathon 2026 at Gajuwaka, Visakhapatnam on 29th January
The walkathon was flagged off by Shri Palla Srinivasa Rao, Hon’ble MLA, Gajuwaka, from Gajuwaka Junction (NH-16). The rally proceeded up to Lucky Shopping Mall and returned to Gajuwaka Junction, completing a to-and-fro route.
To enhance road safety awareness among women in Visakhapatnam, an “All-Women Two-Wheeler Safety Rally” was successfully conducted today January 31, under the joint auspices of the AP Transport Department, Visakhapatnam City Traffic Police, Visakhapatnam City Security Council, and Femi Riders.
The program began with a road safety awareness session, following which the Commissioner of Police, Visakhapatnam, Dr. Shankaratha Bagchi, IPS, flagged off the rally. The rally passed through key locations in the city including Jagadamba Junction, Ramnagar Junction, RTC Complex, and Central Park.
As part of Traffic Month and Pongal/Sankranthi Festival Safety Initiatives, the Visakhapatnam City Security Council (VCSC), in coordination with the Traffic Police, successfully conducted a two-day traffic awareness drive across key city locations under the guidance of Traffic Forum Joint Secretary Shri Bala Satish.
A high-visibility, multi-departmental awareness drive was conducted at Maddilapalem and Hanumanthavaka Junction, with VCSC members Shri Bala Satish and Mrs. Seema Sikri working on the ground alongside Traffic Police, RTA officials, Local Police, and Red Cross volunteers.
Visakhapatnam City Security Council (VCSC), in collaboration with India Tourism – Hyderabad, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, successfully conducted two training sessions on Professional Excellence for Tourist Chauffeurs in Visakhapatnam. The program was supported by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Forum, Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), and HRAAP.
The sessions was delivered by Mr. C. Balasatish and was held at Logos Hall, Elegant Hotel, with 55 tourist chauffeurs from reputed hotels and travel companies participating. The workshop focused on Road Safety session.
