Cyber Awareness Program

The *Visakhapatnam City Security Council (VCSC)* conducted its inaugural *Cyber Awareness Program* at *Pro-Vigil*, following the official inauguration of the VCSC Secretariat.

The session was led by *Shanka Brata Bagchi*, IPS, DGP, Commissioner of Police & Chairman, VCSC, who addressed the growing cybercrime risks in today’s digital ecosystem and emphasized the importance of cyber awareness, prevention, and responsible digital behavior.

Cyber Security Awareness

23 rd January , Under the guidance of Shri. Kishore Dasari, Joint Secretary, Cyber Forum we conducted an awareness session at Nabros Drilling International Ltd. for employees from HR, Administration, Team Leads, and Factory Supervisors. The session focused on various types of cyber scams, their preventive measures, and the appropriate reporting mechanisms.

The session was led by Mrs. Seema and coordinated by Mr. Naveen Jaggumantri. It was a highly interactive and engaging session, with active participation and practical discussions from the attendees.

Visakhapatnam City Security Council - VCSC in collaboration with India Tourism – Hyderabad, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, successfully conducted two training sessions on Professional Excellence for Tourist Chauffeurs in Visakhapatnam. The program was supported by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Forum, Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), and HRAAP.

The sessions was Conducted by Mrs. Seema Sikri held at Logos Hall, Elegant Hotel, with 55 tourist chauffeurs from reputed hotels and travel companies participating. The workshop focused on cyber safety awareness sssions.

VCSC conducted a Cyber Security Awareness Session at WNS (Capgemini) to educate employees on cyber threats and preventive measures. Dr. Shankabrata Bagchi, IPS, Commissioner of Police and Chairman, VCSC, addressed the session, highlighting cyber scams, safety practices, and the importance of timely reporting with real-life examples.

The program was held under the guidance of Shri Kishore Dasari, with support from the VCSC Secretariat team, including Mrs. Seema Sikri and Mr. Naveen J.We thank Mr. R. L. Narayana and his team for their support and hospitality.VCSC remains committed to building a cyber-safe society.

GVMC RP Peta high school, Kancharapalem

A Cyber Security Awareness Session was conducted under the guidance of Shri Kishore Dasari, led by Mrs. Seema Sikri and Mr. Naveen Kumar Jaggumantri from VCSC.The session covered cyber scams such as social media frauds, OTP scams, online gaming risks, and APK link threats, along with safe social media usage for children.

Students of Grades 6–9 from GVMC School, RP Peta, actively participated and engaged in discussions.We thank Mrs. M. Rajalakshmi, Principal, and Mrs. C.H. Naga Pallavi, Computer Teacher, for their support.

ZPHS, Anandapuram

VCSC conducted a Cyber Security Awareness Session for Grade 7 students of Zilla Parishad High School, Anandapuram, under the guidance of Shri Kishore Dasari.The session was led by Mrs. Seema Sikri and Mr. Naveen Kumar Jaggumantri, focusing on safe digital practices, including responsible social media use, risks in online gaming, and dangers of suspicious links.

Students were also informed about proper reporting mechanisms.We thank the Principal and Computer Teacher, Mrs. Dhana Lakshmi, for their support and coordination.

ZPHS, Gottipalli

A Cyber Awareness Session was conducted at ZPHS Gottipalli High School under the leadership of Shri Kishore Dasari. The session, led by Mrs. Seema Sikri and Mr. Naveen Jaggumantri, covered cyber scams, identity theft, online frauds, and safe digital practices. Students were also informed about reporting cyber offences via the 1930 helpline.

Shri Kishore Dasari interacted with students, and a quiz was conducted to reinforce learning.We thank Sri Pandiri Kanakeswara, Principal, and the school staff for their support.The session aimed to empower students to stay alert, informed, and cyber safe.

KDPM School , Cyber Awareness

Today, VCSC conducted its first Women’s Month session at KDPM School under the leadership of Shri Kishore Dasari, Joint Secretary, Cyber Security Forum. The session was delivered by Mrs. Seema Sikri and supported by Mr. Naveen J. Students were educated on the importance of cyber awareness, common online scams, precautionary measures, and the proper reporting mechanisms for cyber crimes.

We sincerely thank Mrs. Lakshmi Computer Teacher and Mrs. Sumati Bai for their cooperation and support in organizing the session. The session aimed to empower young students with the knowledge to stay safe and responsible in the digital world.

Sagar Durga School of Nursing - Seethammadhara

As part of the initiative, separate awareness sessions on Cyber Safety for Women was conducted at Sagar Durga School of Nursing under the guidance of Shri Kishore Dasari The Cyber Safety session, led by Mrs. Seema Sikri, focused on online safety, common cyber scams, digital privacy, and responsible use of social media. Additional inputs were provided by Mr. Naveen Kumar J and Lady Constable Mrs. K. Shymala.

We thank the institution, Mr. Duvuri Manoj Kumar Reddy, and CI D.V. Ramana for their support. The Women’s Month initiative aims to strengthen digital safety and workplace security for women.

Viswanadha Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Mindivanipalem, Sontyam

As part of the Women’s Month initiatives, VCSC conducted two awareness session on Cyber Security for Women at Viswanadha Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Sontyam. Under the guidance of Shri Kishore Dasari, the sessions were led by Mrs. Seema Sikri and Mr. Kishore Dadari, educating students on understanding online harassment, cyber threats, and the importance of reporting and prevention.

Dr. Shankabrata Bagchi, IPS, Commissioner of Police & Chairman, VCSC, conducted a Cyber Security Awareness Session at The Presidential School, Seethamadhara. He explained various cyber crimes such as OTP scams, phishing, vishing, skimming, and customer care fraud, along with insights on the deep web, dark web, and cryptocurrency.

He also emphasized preventive measures and the importance of timely reporting.The session was coordinated by Smt. Today, VCSC conducted an awareness session on Cyber Security for Women at Uday Dora St. Joseph’s School of Nursing under the guidance of Shri Kishore Dasari. The session by Seema Sikri covered the cyber crimes, and reporting mechanisms.
