Women’s Month Awareness Programs

As part of the Women’s Month initiative, Visakhapatnam City Security Council (VCSC) conducted a special Cyber Safety for Women awareness session at Sagar Durga School of Nursing, Seethammadhara.

The session was held under the guidance of Shri Kishore Dasari and led by Mrs. Seema Sikri, with additional inputs from Mr. Naveen Kumar J and Lady Constable Mrs. K. Shymala.

The training focused on key areas relevant to women’s safety in the digital space:

• Online safety and digital privacy
• Common cyber scams targeting women
• Responsible use of social media
• Workplace security and precautionary measures

VCSC extends sincere thanks to the institution, Mr. Duvuri Manoj Kumar Reddy, and CI D.V. Ramana for their valuable support and cooperation.

A separate awareness session on **POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace)** was also conducted at Sagar Durga School of Nursing under the guidance of Smt. Lakshmi Mukkavalli.

The session was led by Mrs. Seema Sikri and focused on:

• Provisions of the POSH Act
• Women’s rights in the workplace
• Importance of reporting harassment
• Legal framework and complaint procedures

This initiative aims to strengthen both digital safety and workplace security for women.
