The Visakhapatnam City Security Council (VCSC), in collaboration with the Women’s Entrepreneurs Society and Gramina Vikas Society for Rural Development, successfully conducted three awareness sessions at the **Tribal Government Degree College, Araku**.
The sessions were led by Mrs. Seema Sikri under the guidance of the Joint Secretaries of VCSC. They focused on the serious impact of drug abuse on health, brain function, decision-making ability, and overall life trajectory.
Students were sensitized about how substance abuse affects not only individuals but also their families and future — often leading to addiction, mental health challenges, and severe social consequences. The importance of early awareness, peer resistance, and seeking timely help was strongly emphasized.
VCSC extends its sincere gratitude to Smt. Vaghira and Smt. Smruthi (Founders, Women’s Entrepreneurs Society), Smt. Ramarajyam and Shri Venkat Rao for providing this valuable opportunity to engage with and educate the students.
