An impactful awareness session on Anti-Narcotics was conducted today at Sri Viswa IIT & Medical Academy, Dwarakanagar.
The session was delivered by Mrs. Seema Sikri under the guidance of Mr. Pavan Kartheek.
The session focused on educating students about the dangers of legal and illegal drugs, highlighting their severe impact on physical health, mental well-being, brain function, family relationships, and future prospects. Students were sensitized to the long-term consequences of substance abuse and the risks associated with experimenting with drugs.
Emphasis was laid on the importance of making informed choices and resisting peer pressure, which is often a key factor leading to initial drug use. The speaker strongly conveyed that even casual or “for fun” usage can lead to addiction, and once addicted, it becomes extremely difficult to overcome the dependency.
The interactive session encouraged students to ask questions and actively participate, reinforcing awareness and responsibility among youth to stay drug-free and lead healthy, productive lives.
The initiative aimed at empowering young minds with knowledge and resilience to make the right decisions and contribute towards a safer, drug-free society.
