Cyber Awareness Session at Tribal Government Degree College, Araku

The Visakhapatnam City Security Council (VCSC), in collaboration with the Women’s Entrepreneurs Society and Gramina Vikas Society for Rural Development, successfully conducted Cyber Awareness Sessions at the Tribal Government Degree College, Araku.

The sessions were conducted by Smt. Seema Sikri under the guidance of the Joint Secretaries of VCSC.

The sessions focused on ongoing cyber scams and practical prevention measures:

• Common Cyber Crimes: Phishing attacks, OTP frauds, fake job and investment scams, and social media impersonation
• Prevention Measures: Avoiding sharing of sensitive information like OTPs and passwords, verifying unknown links and calls, and reporting cyber frauds promptly through official platforms

The program aimed to empower students with the knowledge to stay alert and adopt safe online practices. The students showed remarkable enthusiasm and active participation, engaging thoughtfully and sharing their own experiences throughout the session.
